Rocks
This experience was unique at that time when these photos of the portfolio were taken (summer 1997). Inside my wife’s womb was growing my son.
The brain folds of a newborn, the oversized nipples, the feminine curves, the lunar setting, captured my sight. I was looking for the ancient fertile goddesses of the earth, the Aphrodites, the hidden erotic calls. I tried to perceive the mystery of the creation of new life after the culmination of the sweet moment. I saw the rocks like the monuments of nature, like magnificent sculptures, like figures of majestic proportions, like uncanny castles in the depth of the horizon, like fortresses of the primitive memory.
The hard rock, the sign on the rock, the line of the rock, the clouds in the air, are the depiction of my internal world, the pictorial result of the novel experience.
